New year makes us feel like as the start of everything — even though it is just another day after yesterday that we overwhelmed. I strongly believe that it has a motivating power to get rid of the dust on us, refresh and be enthusiastic for the better.

2020 was an exhausting year from many aspects — starting from health to economics, from ecological balance to world peace, and all their impacts on our daily lifes from work to travel, from family life to personal interests, from our trust for the future and enthusiasm…

Covid-19 pandemic is still changing the dynamics in the world and affecting our lives. In such unstable periods, people tend to stuck at waiting mode hoping for a state where they can structure their goals and new positioning. We generally seek for a well defined environment to set our goals and make new beginnings. Unfortunately, we do not have this luxury anymore.

Those who can take steps in uncertainty will advance!

The Covid-19 pandemic took longer than we expected and still there is a long way to leave it in the past. We have already spent a year in the pandemic and it does not seem a good idea to wait till the end to take a step towards the better of you.

It is time to make a wish and take action to reach it!

Do not feel under pressure if you do not have big wishes for the new year. It is the usual side effect of this ongoing uncertainty. All of us prioritizing health, peace, economic stability, good environmental state… But do not let all those make you forget about yourself and your personal goals.

The point is not to create a further burden on yourself but to feel better for the better of the whole. Here is a shortlist to “think on”! Hope it will help you focus on value and make small wishes towards the better of yourself.

  1. What makes you feel better?
  2. What are the habits you want to gain?
  3. What makes you overwhelmed but you can control?

Now you took the first step, “awareness”.

Then;

  1. Make a list you want to add your life and remove from your life
  2. Set your goals accordingly
  3. Define interim milestones or frequency to ensure continuity

Now you are ready… Sleep well tonight and wake up a new you.
