I have been reading leadership books and consciously observing famous leaders or the leaders around me ever since I experienced what a good leader can achieve — roughly around 13 years since I joined college. And thanks to my full-time job as a consultant, I have a great chance to meet leaders from different organizations, different backgrounds, different domains, different cultures.

And what I can say in one sentence is that “As a leader, you can be the biggest chance or the nightmare of your team”. You decide which one!

Being in a leadership role might be cool but also brings too many responsibilities. Administrative tasks are not the biggest deal, but the responsibility for people and their motivation is.

Sometimes leadership is represented as an innate ability. I agree that some people have inherent characteristics to become a great leader, but I also totally believe that it can also be learned, practiced, and improved. If you think so, you are probably reading besides books on leadership, trying to apply suggested methods, observing successful leaders in your life, and so on.
