Two Lists to Make Your Life Simpler and More Comfortable
Get rid of the excess in your life and take control of your buying behavior
The previous week, I was having a discussion with one of my clients about a solution. And I claimed that it would make their lives easier. I have convinced him of the idea and the expectation. But he drew attention to another point saying that “We got another solution also to make our lives easier. However, then we had to hire two more people to take care of the solution”.
This is something expected in the technology world as a result of not using a solution with full potential or not effectively managing the operations. But this claim made me think about whether this is the case in our daily lives as well.
We buy goods to make our lives easier but do they all make our lives better? Or do we start serving our belongings?
Sometimes I find myself comparing the life my elders lived at my age and our life today. Even though I am in favor of minimalism by design, sometimes I find myself necessitating more things. So I cannot imagine how a family of five can live in one single room with all their goods and create space for all.
When I question “serving our belongings”, I come up with many examples in my own life.
